Exercise 7.1 — The evacuation alarm sounds in your building. Put the steps in order.

Correct order:

1. Stop all activity and unplug electrical devices.
2. Leave immediately, without going back.
3. Follow the marked route using the stairs, without running.
4. Go to the assembly point, following the coordinators.
5. Tell the coordinator if a co-worker is missing.

Feedback: “Correct. First you stop, then you leave without going back and follow the route. At the assembly point, your report helps people know if someone is missing.”

Note: this sequence is the general route presented in this course. Each company may have specific channels, times or protocols. Always know and follow the ones defined by your organization.

Exercise 7.2 — A co-worker has a piece of wood stuck in his arm. What do you do?

• 1. I do nothing; it’s not my job.
• B) I pull it out immediately to clean the wound.
• C) I do not remove it. I place pads and bandages around it if I can do so safely, and I ask for help. ✅
