| Asset | CASE-08 |
Scenario: “You are finishing an urgent delivery when you see small flames on electrical equipment in the next work area. A co-worker tried to put them out and has a burn on his hand. You are not on the emergency response team. Your delivery is due in ten minutes.”
8.1 Identify: what is happening?
8.2 Decide: what action do you take?
8.3 Argue (open text, required): why did you make that decision?
Evaluation guide: the learner should recognize that (1) life comes before the delivery; (2) controlling the fire is a job for trained team members; (3) their report activates the response. There is no single correct wording.
8.4 Report: who do you report to, and with what information?
Integrated feedback: “Well done. You recognized the emergency, put people first, justified your decision and know what to report. Once you are safe, cool the burn with clean, cold water compresses, without ice or ointments, and take your co-worker to a medical center. In OHS, justifying a decision is as important as making it.”
